Parents and Guardians-
The Children will be singing next Sunday Mar. 14th in the Sanctuary at the 9:30 service.
On March 27th at 10:30 the children have the opportunity to sing with the Praise Team at the Spring  “Eggstravaganza" at Heritage Village. Please have your children who will be singing there early, at 10:00, and meet at the gazebo. This is a child oriented event and should be lots of fun! 
The Kennedy’s (of CRUMC) will be doing a puppet show at 11 a.m.
We are in need of volunteers for the cupcake decorating booth at the Spring “Eggstravaganza".  If you can help the kids decorate cupcakes please contact me at 795-0150. I am signing folks up for 2 hour intervals.  Sign up today. The Children will also sing on Easter Sunday at the 9:30 service.  We will have an Easter Egg Hunt after the service at 10:30 a.m.

April 5-11, 2010 Mission Trip
Momostenango, Guatemala
Your donations will be used to support the work of The National Methodist Church in Guatemala. Our love offering (goal=$2000.) will be used to build a retaining wall to protect the church from mudslides.  Pastor Mario Chanchavac has sent word of the need for used clothes and used shoes.  
Other items needed for the mission include: 
OTC Items: Vitamins– Adult multi-vitamins, Children’s multi-vitamins
(no ‘gummies’ as they melt) Calcium, Tums, Aspirin / Tylenol,
Anti-bacterial ointment and Band-Aids 
Bi-lingual children’s books
Musical instruments, i.e., flutes, rhythm sticks, tambourines, etc.
for music worship
Toys such as ‘beanie babies’ that easily pack
Craft material, i.e., small bottles of glue, child scissors, stickers (without words, i.e. smiley, animals) 
Please leave donated items in the Church Narthex also cash donations can be deposited in the jar located in the Narthex as well. Thank you!                                                                     You can make a difference.


The annual Trash and Treasure Sale sponsored by the United Methodist Women will be held March 20 at the tabernacle.   Dates to remember:
March 18 – Bring items to the tabernacle
March 19 – Items will be arranged and priced (from 9 a.m. until …..)
March 20 – The sale is from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Of course, the UMW would not have an event without offering food – so come shop for new treasures as well as homemade baked goods.  For more information about the sale, call Ruth Levins at 795-3006 or Betty Schooley at 564-2825.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO MAKE A CHURCH BANNER
to be presented at Annual Conference.  “We hope your church members will enjoy using their imaginative and needlework talents to create a banner representative of the history of the church”.  This banner will celebrate our 125th year as a church. Please call Karen Janota for more info, 270-3353.

One young man at the Children’s Home
made the resoulution to say thank you more often to everyone who deserves to be thanked.  John Rivas, Vice Pres. of Development at  FL UM Children’s Home writes  “Thank you for your congregations’s generous gift of $986. 00… you too deserve to be thanked for your gift and for being part of this minstry and providing him and so many others with a safe place to call home.”

Registration Still Available for Couples Spiritual Retreat

An opportunity for couples to spend time with each other and with the Lord waits at the 2010 Couples Spiritual Retreats, March 12-14 and March 19-21. Sponsored by the Florida Conference United Methodist Men, each weekend retreat centers on the theme, “In Jesus’ Name.”
Held in Fruitland Park at the beautiful Life Enrichment Center, the retreats feature praise time, plenary sessions and breakout sessions, offering time to take your discipleship deeper. Topics include: “A Jewish Love Story,” with Ed Diaz looking at the wedding customs of Jesus’ day and how they are interwoven into the picture of Jesus’ second coming; John Riley asking the question, “Are there many doors to the hallway of heaven, or just one?”; “Was Jesus at your wedding?” with the Rev. Harold Lewis; digging deep into Jesus’ prayer life by looking at the Gospel of Luke, with the Rev. Charley Reeb; and the Rev. Debbie Nelson exploring the powerful “dance of the Trinity” in our everyday lives.

Pastor David will be lead a one hour class on preparing/understanding baptism on Wednesday, March 17th 6:30 pm, child-care provided.

CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES – 
March 14th the children are singing in the 9:30 a.m. worship service.
March 27th at 10:30 a.m. they will be singing at the Spring “Eggstravaganza" at Heritage Village in downtown Crystal River.
April 4th, Easter Sunday we can enjoy their songs at the 9:30 service.

April 18, kids 3-11 come play soccer from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Come and support our youngest members, we are very blessed to have so many children in our congregation!

Wednesday Night Dinners Join us at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary; the cost is $5 per person. You may make a standing reservation or contact the office Monday morning.  March 10th Main Course: Meatloaf; March 17th Corned Beef and Cabbage.

New Wednesday night Classes began February 24th.  Rev. Gene Landon is leading a Lenten Study- Changed from Glory into Glory while Charles Ayers is teaching a course on Disaster Preparedness. A Sneak Peek at Sunday’s Sermons is an ongoing class that can be joined at any time. Wayne Hemmerich is the leader. There are signup sheets in the Narthex, you may see Sara Winston, any leader, or call the office. The Dewitt Crawford Gardening Class begins this Wednesday 6:30 pm.
