C.R.U.M.Y. News

Every month I start this newsletter and sometimes I feel like you probably think I am making this up.  Trust me I am not and never have, these kids just never cease to amaze me.  Courtney Dorman, Johnny Griffith and Margaret Copeland have offered some of the other youth in our group their extra money to help them pay for their mission trip.  Now I have a new one that I would like for you to hear about. Michael and Haile Sentz have their trip paid for they have donated extra money to others in the group.  They let me know that they have taken odd jobs in their neighborhood to help other people pay for their trip.  They are cutting two or three peoples grass and doing other odd jobs to earn money to help their friends.

How amazing is this that these kids are trying so hard to help their friends to be able to go on the mission trip.  I am the most blessed person that I can think of to be able to hang out with the most AWESOME young people ever.  Our church is so blessed to have young people of this caliber in our church. I can only hope that everyone realizes how lucky we are.

Please continue to pray for our youth group we do not have all of our funds raised, as of April 15thwe are still at least $2,000.00 short, we still have three fundraisers planned before we leave. PLEASE PRAY for our mission to be successful, safe, and mostly be honor and praise to our FATHER GOD.

Thank you to all who came out and supported our SOCK HOP we however ended up being in the red by approximately $200.00.  We had an amazing time, but were unable to raise any money toward our trip expenses.

COLORED ENVELOPE FUNDRAISER

The youth will be hanging a clothesline in the sanctuary with colored envelopes on the line.   Different amounts will be written on the envelope starting at $1.00 and going up to $50.00.  We are asking for help with our trip, if you could see it in your heart to take an envelope and give a donation towards our trip we would be so grateful.  All you have to do is place the envelope in the offering plate at your convince.

If anyone has any odd jobs or even jobs they would like done around your home, we have several kids who do not have their portion of their trip money and would love to earn their money.  Call Marie Witte to schedule those jobs to be taken care of.  422-1723 cell.

We need your help; our youth need your SUPPORT!  PLEASE HELP THEM OUT if possible.  If not through money if you could PLEASE PRAY FOR our efforts to raise our money and mostly for the youth themselves, they face so many struggles.  THANK YOU!!!!!!  YOU are an AMAZING, LOVING church family and I know you will support the youth in anyway that you possibly can.  We love you all and thank you so very much!

PROJECT BEANIE BABY AND SHOE DRIVE has began. The youth are taking on a Mission Project for the Guatemala Mission team to deliver shoes and beanie babies to the children in August 2012.  We are now accepting Beanie Babies and Shoes at the CONNECTION POINT.  We will take new and slightly loved items. We have a goal set of 250 beanie babies and 250 pair of new shoes. Tennis shoes are the best protection for all of those little feet, but what ever you feel lead to bring will be gratefully accepted. If you would like to make a cash donation to this project you can label your offering check PROJECT BEANIE BABY/SHOES and we will shop for you or use this money to pay for the suitcases to be flown over with the group.

We are teaching the youth that it is not all about them and in the process we learn that it’s not all about us.  We are so blessed to have all that we do and this gives us a small part in letting some children who have very little know that they are special and that GOD LOVES them.

THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL OF YOUR LOVE, PRAYERS AND SUPPORT!   WE LOVE YOU ALL!
