Here we are in the month of May already!!!  It seems time keeps flying by faster and faster.  Here at Bright Beginnings we often wonder if the day is long enough to get everything done.  At the top of our focus now is Graduation, of course.  Students, parents and teachers alike are catching the ‘anticipation bug’ of our upcoming ceremony on May 24th, at 6:30 pm.  Please come join us as we celebrate this milestone in our VPK children’s lives.

Our students aren’t the only ones ‘progressing’ in their academic pursuits.  We have teachers that are in the process of moving forward in their professional developments.  Ms. Amy has been approved and is working on acquiring her CDA/FCCPC.  Ms. Nicky has just received notification of her FCCPC, granted on a formal education degree. Ms. Taysia and Ms. Melissa are both finishing up terms at Central Florida College, on their way to

degreed status.  We have three or four others that are looking into obtaining their higher

credentials in the child care field.  We want to be able to offer our students the best opportunity of having teachers current in the educational field and able to bring these ideas, processes and opportunities into the classrooms.

The recent Bunny Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt were well attended by church and school members as well as general visitors.  One of our parents was able to bring us by a big fire truck to let the children investigate and explore.  Thankfully he and his co-workers didn’t receive a call out during our event, and were able to be with us most of the morning.  Between breakfast, the fire truck, face painting, cupcake decorating, bounce house, real live bunnies, pictures with the bunny and games – everyone seemed to be busily engaged in an enjoyable activity.

Thanks to all those who prepared the food, set up the various activities, hid the eggs, and took the pictures and anything else you did, we appreciate you.

We are still looking for some of those ‘granny rockers’ and ‘senior readers’ in our school.  If you have a free hour or two a month, and would like to acquaint yourself with our school, please call or come by.  We love to have visitors, and seeing the children engaged in all their various activities warms one’s heart.  Come see us soon!!!!
